What we put in our body truly becomes the foundation of our "self". Beginning by nourishing our body at the cellular level provides the body with the building blocks it requires to thrive.
When our cells our nourished with nutrients they require, our body is able to effectively convert food to energy, regulate hormones, modulate the immune system, etc. Healthy, high functioning cells build healthy muscles/tissue, and strong functioning organ systems. High functioning organ systems allow us to metabolize and clear unneeded chemicals from the body.
High functioning organ systems also allow for digestion, absorption and excretion. They support the gut, our mind and our spirit.
Integrative/Holistic Nutrition:
Integrative/holistic nutrition is part of the integrative health model that looks at how food impacts our overall wellbeing and how it can be leveraged to help us feel our best. What we put in our bodies can have a direct impact on our physical, mental and social/emotional wellbeing, and this information can guide us towards correcting deficiencies or imbalances that often lead to health issues.

I truly believe that food can act as medicine and is a part of a larger healing plan. What we eat matters. What we think matters. How we move matters. By listening and hearing the body, we can begin to heal from the inside out and achieve our health goals, regardless of what they are.
Integrative nutrition acknowledges that there is no “one size fits all” plan and aims to help support the individual person. Every person is different, with different needs and goals.
I believe...
.... that whole foods come from the Earth and have the power to support the mind, body and soul
.... that how and when we nourish our body is a deeply personal practice.
.... that food and food choices are unique to the individual and their experiences.
.... that food represents many things to many people. This needs to be honoured in our practice.

...in evidence-based practice and understand the value of evidence informed practice. Every story is data with a soul and should be honoured and respected.
...that each person is on their own journey and that their is no "one size fits all" approach.
...that the body can heal itself and that each individual innately knows what their system needs. Intuition is so important.
